South Western News (Busselton) 28 February 1941
Mr. Frederick George Chatt. - Residents of Busselton and district received a shock on Tuesday morning last, when it was learned that Mr. Frederick George Chatt elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur G. Chatt of Kent Street, Busselton had passed away at Lucknow Military Hospital, Claremont. Deceased was a member of a local contingent of universal trainees under military training, at Melville. It is understood that deceased, who visited his parents only last week and went with others to the Swanbourne rifle range to practice rifle shooting on Monday afternoon and collapsed. He was quickly conveyed to hospital, but despite every possible attention, never rallied and passed away about five o'clock the following morning. His remains were brought to Busselton and he is buried at the Busselton General Cemetery.
