Bio:
When William Henry Spratt was born on 29 November 1915 in Townsville, Queensland, his father, John, was 21 and his mother, Nellie, was 18. He married Heather Erskine Sharpe on 29 August 1945 in Inverell, New South Wales. They had five children in 17 years. He died on 10 December 1979 in Brisbane, Queensland, at the age of 64.
