A Call From the Sea.
To the Editor of the Herald
Sir,
Your paper, dated August 25, 1915 to hand today I was for one extremely pleased to get it, but when I read of those hundreds of men who will not come I feel utterly disgusted with them. Mine is only one of thousands of calls for help, issued from those on active service but still someone might answer this call. In the name of mankind and Christianity come on Sydney boys. To those boys I went to school with in Mosman I issue the call for King, for country, and your homes, come and help us. Do not sing "Australia will be there" alongside your fireplace, sing it here "on active service". I am etc
