Welcome Home Story

The Welcome Home Story was related in Jack Fletcher’s Book “ The Infiltrators” A History of the Heytesbury 1840-1920

Timboon Welcome Home.

In March 1919 after Mr Lambert took over as secretary of the Roll Of Honour committee 96 names from within a radius of 6 miles (9 Kilometres) of Timboon and he considered it a record for the population. Stoker Joe Reid, Private W Stephenson were welcomed by the Timboon Welcome Home Club, followed by Corporal, Rex Hammil, Jack Nicholls, T Murnane and Private T Hatty later in May.
