Alexander William Callum was the son of Robert Callum & Beatrice Emily Callum (née Kimberly) of Karbala Rockhampton Queensland.
Alec lived out a full life in the town of Rockhampton near his original home of Kabra in Queensland Australia.
He was a teacher until his retirement and died of old age after marrying his long time partner Gwen not long before he died.
Our family history includes the story of his award of the DFC and it being eventually posted to him as he eschewed any inference of heroism for his work during the war years,
