The only daughter of Bernice Isobel Mackie (nee Thomas) and Robert Shanks Mackie. She married Stanley Charles Webster (PM4627) on 3 January 1946.
During her service she spent over two and half years in the AWAS and was posted to Darley (training) and then to various units in Queensland.
Her children were born in Melbourne and the family moved to Adelaide in 1967.
Her two eldest sons both served in Vietnam; Robert (4720878) and Ian (45323).
From her obituary in the local paper - she was involved in both the scouts and guides, the local netball club and other community groups.
