Eldest son of Alexander Forrester (Sandy) and Elsie Hardie
Ross - an Aviator - left for London in August 1938, where he enlisted in the RAF, serving as a Warrant Officer/Pilot (No:902422). Ross was flying a Marauder FB509 at Catania in Sicily, Italy on 17 May 1944 when he was killed. Youngest son Graeme enlisted with the Australian Army in June 1940, serving as a Private (Service No:NX23827) with 2/17 Infantry Battalion until November 1945. - Christine Buckley
