Ray was born in the family home at Millar St. Drummoyne, Sydney.

He served in the RAN from 1943 to 1962.

He completed his career in the RAN as Chief Petty Officer.

After his RAN service he became a Physical Education Teacher. After he retired, he lived in Umina.

Ray was my cousin.
