Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of D B TREAHY of Condamine Road vie Miles, Qld.

The death took place at the Alfred Hospital on December 1st of Private Vincent H. Treahy, son of Mr. Tom Blake Treahy, J. P., and the late Mrs. Treahy, of Shepparton Park, Condamine, Queensland, formerly of Shepparton, Victoria, and brother, of Mrs. E. P. Kealy (Tamleugh, North Victoria), Alice and  Minnie, David and John (Queensland), Tom (N.s.W.), Dick (at Nicholson and Morrow's, Melbourne), Frank and Joe (on active service), and nephew of  Rev. Brother Kerrins (St. Augustine's Orphanage), P. A. Kerrins, J.P., and Joseph Kerrins (Kialla), John Treahy (Shepparton), David Treahy (Gardenvale),  and Mrs. Morrow (Nicholson and Morrow's), Mentone.
He was a very popular young man with all his associates, and took an active part in all manly sports, in some of which he excelled. He was a good,  practical Catholic. The deceased was a fine stamp of the young Australian soldier. He was six feet in height, and proportionately built. He was very  anxious to go to the front with his other two brothers, but God willed otherwise ! The deceased enlisted from the Shepparton district, where he lived  with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kealey. There he was born and reared. The remains were taken to Shepparton, and laid to rest in the family vault, beside his mother and grandmother. Although the notice was short, a great many friends of the family showed their respect by following  the remains to the final resting place in the Shepparton Cemetery. The Very Rev. D. Hogan officiated at the grave. R.I.P.
