Pilot-Officer neville C Buist, of the R.A.F. who has been reported killed in action after having been posted missing, was born in Sydney, and lived in Petersham for many years before going to New Zealand. He went to England from New Zealand in June 1939 to join the R.A.F.
Pilot-Officer Buist was educated at christian Brothers' High School, Lewisham, and at St. Patrick's College, Wellington, New Zealand. He was 21 years old.
