VICTORIAN PILOT'S DEATH
Mr. and Mrs. E. Crawley, of Elwood, have been notified by the Air Ministry, London, that a report had been received from the International Red Cross Committee, through the Dutch Red Cross Society, stating that their son, Plt-Off Charles Douglas Crawley, who had been missing since May 15 1940, was buried at Oostcrhout, near S Hertogenbosch, Holland. He was aged 24, and was educated at Scotch College and the Melbourne University, where he obtained his BA hons.
He left Australia in August, 1939, being one of 25 selected for training by the British Government as an officer in the RAF.
