In death, a brave hero as in life, a true friend from his brother
Private PERCY A. GIBBS died of wounds on November 12, 1917, in Palestine. When he first offered himself as a recruit he was rejected. Twelve months later he tried again, and was accepted. He went into camp on January 4, I916, and sailed for the front in March. He joined the Light Horse, and was transferred to the Machine Gun Corps, where he was when wounded. He was 38 years of age.
