14 Aug 1917: Honoured Distinguished Conduct Medal, LONDON GAZETTE 14/8/1917. AWARDED THE DISTINGUISHED CONDUCT MEDAL. His Majesty the King has been graciously pleased to approve the award of the Distinguished Conduct Medal to the undermentioned non-commissioned officer, for acts of gallantry and devotion to duty in the Field:- No. 4162 Sgt, A. Millar. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion in an attack, when he took command of several groups whose officers were casualties, and made a series of most valuable bomb attacks, during which he was seriously wounded.
