Add my storyBiography contributed by Carol Foster
At the time of enlistment Robert was residing in Casterton, Victoria.
Prior to enlisting he stated that he had served with the German West South Africa, Heavy Artillery but had been discharged when the unit was disbanded and that he had left his discharge paper in South Africa. This was later proved incorrect and that he had frauduantly enlisted in the AIF and that following his Court Martial in Capetown he was being held to returned to his South Africa Unit. Not eligible for medals.
Son of Elsie Veitch of Clee Road, Observatory, Cape Town, South Africa.
