Son of Frank C MARCHANT, 14 Dalley Street, Clifton Hill, Vic.

Served in France from 17 September 1917 - 16 October 1917

Admitted with sprained ankle to Beaufort War Hospital in England 16 October 1917

Transfered to Dartford, Hurdcroft in England.

Admitted to Military Hospital Sutton Veny 09 February 1918 with Trench Fever, discharged 06 March 1918 and again admitted 13 March 1918 with Trench Fever.

Left England for return to Australia 20 November 1918 per 'Suevic' as invalid.

Returned to Melbourne, Australia with Chronic conjuctivitis 05 January 1919

Discharged as Medically Unfit 02 March 1919
