Brother of William James O'Neill who died of disease on 8 August 1918 while serving with the 5th Light Horse Regiment and is buried in the Gaza War Cemetery. Plot XXX11, Row F, Grave 7; Patrick O'Neill who returned to Australia on 28 August 1919 having served with the 11th Light Horse Regiment; Philip O'Neill who returned to Australia in 1919 having served with the 41st Battalion and WW2 having served with the 2/11 Field Company
