Mr John Albert McLaughlin was the  father of sisters Lorna  and Ellie. His grandchildren include  Wendy and Rhonda Black.  The Shire of Wangaratta commenced in 1916 and concluded in 1994.  Mr John Albert McLaughlin served as a Councillor and as President of the  Shire of Wangaratta.
