15/03/1917  promoted to Lance Corporal, 27th Infantry Battalion
23/10/1917  reverted to Private, 27th Infantry Battalion in Belgium
09/08/1918  killed in action by an anti-tank gun during an attack near Framerville, France
Buried near where he layed, and a cross was erected over the grave.
He was exhumed and reburied in:
                   Heath Cemetery, 2500 yards north of Harbonnieres
                   Plot 4, Row F, Grave 15
His name is commemorated on Panel 109 at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, ACT.
