Myers, John Henry was born in Houghton, South Australia. His mother’s name was Mrs Elizabeth Myers. John's job before the war was a labourer. As a labourer he did manual labour such as digging trenches, unloading construction materials, and preparing job sites.
Myer enlisted on the 17th of January 1916 and his unit was the 27th Battalion, 13th Reinforcement. Myer was 29 when he was enlisted and was embarked from Adelaide, South Australia, on board A45 Bulla on 24 June 1916. During the war, Myer, John Henry was gassed and won 3 medals which were called, Victory Medal, British War Medal and Star medal.
After the war ended, Myers, John Henry returned to Australia on the 4th of January 1919. On the 19th of November1 940, Myers, John Henry sadly passed away.
