The Australian Meritorious Service Medal (1903–75) was awarded to warrant officers, non-commissioned officers and other ranks who had completed 22 years meritorious service with Australian Military Forces, and who had previously received the Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.

Stuart Alexander ARBLASTER was born in Caulfield, Victoria on 10th March, 1927

His parents were Alexander ARBLASTER & Mildred EARL

He married Margaret Alacoque McCRAIG in Victoria in 1949 - 3 known children, Susan, Frances & Monica

Stuart died in Sydney (late of Condell Park) on 23rd June 1985 & is buried in the Rookwood Cemetery in Sydney (Catholic Section)

 

He served in the Vietnam War and World War 2 - see attached personal story for information about his Long Service Awards

 

His wife Margaret Alacoque McCAIG (SN SF84797) also served in the Army during WW2 and was discharged on 13th May, 1949 (Australian Army Medical Womens Services)
