Biography

"...4793 Private Andrew Halvorsen, 50th Battalion, of Port Pirie, SA. A labourer prior to enlistment, Pte Halvorsen embarked with the 10th Battalion from Adelaide aboard RMS Mongolia on 9 March 1916. While serving in France Pte Halvorsen was killed in action, aged 26, on 23 February 1917, and buried at the Bulls Road Cemetery, Flers." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
