Biography contributed by Kerry Simon

Tony was the only son of Lois and Bill Revell he had 2 older sisters Shirley (Killpatrick) and Elaine (Johnson).

At the age of 14 he went farm labouring for Keith and Fran Hugan of Tatong he lived with them whilst working.

When he was 17 he joined the Victorian railways and was a fireman

At the age of 21 he went to Vietnam as a National Serviceman, he had his 21st Birthday "in Country"

On return from Vietnam he again joined the railways but was to be posted to the city so he left and bought a truck

From 1972 he worked for himself buying several trucks and doing different jobs.
He bought a Car carrier, a 4 series dodge carting cars locally and working for Arnolds carting Datsun’s/VW/Renaults.

He upgraded the truck to a 1950A Acco and worked for Complete auto trans (CAT) carting Fords and Friendly transport carting GMH.

In 1974 tired of doing interstate trucking he bought a stock crate and worked for Bruce Humphreys livestock in Benalla

In 1975 he married Helen Joan Phillips.

He then started working for Wagstaff’s and carted sheep for them for15 years.

In this time he had a few trucks, a cab over Kenworth which he rolled over at Lake Rowan with a load of sheep which took out the new amenities block as the last working bee was the weekend before to complete it.

The Paint colour for his trucks came from the Chesterfield cigarette packet maroon, white, black, and green (Wheels) he changed the green to black because people stirred him about the colour!!!

He had an AB184 international with a V653, 3070 ACCO with sleeper box and a Kenworth SAR.

Sadly in 1980 his marriage failed, and he sold the livestock trucks and went to work with Eagle towing in Melbourne doing heavy salvage.

In 1986 he started RRR Towing and Salvage, starting with a dodge and building up an International S line tow truck to do Truck accidents and heavy salvage.

He also bought his old Kenworth SAR back and refurbished it.

He retired due to health issues and became TPI.

He suffered from PTSD, Cancer and general poor health.

Over the years he had a few nicknames, Hoss, Sheep carter, Butch, Grumpy.
