21, 1913, No. 7097, pte. William Edward Brotherton,

aged 20, 1st Battalion. -

His heart was good, his spirit brave.

His resting-place a hero's grave;

To have, to love, and then to part

Is the saddest pain to a human heart

That loved him ever dear,

A heart that loved him ever dear.

His memory written here.

Inserted by his loving father and mother and sis

ters and brothers, Francis Street, Merrylands.
