Son of John William Grant and Janet Grant nee Patterson of 1 Irvine Street, Footscray, Victoria later of Shepparton. Brother of Catherine Margaret Grant and also William Robert Grant who returned to Australia on 12 June 1919 having served with the 3rd Divisional Train
