John's Life timeline

1940 John was born in Wonthaggi, Victoria, but the family moved to Bacchus
Marsh in 1947.
1946 - 1947 Primary School Kilcunda and Korumburra
1948 - 1951 Primary School Bacchus Marsh
1952 - 1957 High School Bacchus Marsh. John was in the first Matriculation class
at BMHS.
1958 - 1961 RAAF College/Academy No 11 Course. 1st course to graduate from
RAAF Academy and graduated as Flying Officers. John as a GD Pilot
1962 Completed BSc at Melbourne Uni, living in the mess at Point Cook.
1963 Canberras 86 Wing, Amberley
1964 Married Ed Pezzalato, RAAFNS. Promoted to Flt Lt and posted to
Butterworth 2 Sqn Canberras
1967 Amberley Vietnam 2 Sqn (105 operational sorties)
1968 Texas - training on F111s
1969 Joint Warfare Course
1970 Sqn Ldr XO 6 Sqn Canberras, Amberley.
Staff Officer to DCA AVM Hennock

With assistance of one of the base Chaplains, we spread John's ashes beside the
main runway at Amberley near the 2 Sqn area - his final posting.
