Son of George T WOOD, Residency, Broome, WA
Derisley Albert Wood was underage when he attested and had a letter of permission from his father.
Wood was recorded as having a speech impediment. His family lived at ‘Derisleigh’ West Guildford until 1909. One son -Keith was born there 1901 (West Australian Newspaper 9.9.1901) Derisley appears to have had a similar name to the family home, where he grew up and spent his childhood. His speech impediment was deemed a debility and he was returned to Australia.
