Son of William James & Jeanie EDWARDS
Of Tinferen Rd, Ashfield, Sydney. NSW

George served with the First Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force in German New Guinea until February 1915.  On returning to Australia he re-enlisted on 4th April 1918 in the Royal Air Force, and was promted to second-lieutenant in the following September.  HE served in the R.A.F. in Egypt from April 1918 to July 1919.
