Donald Edison Moore
Donald Edison Moore was born 21st May, 1932 Busselton, Western Australia, the youngest of eight children. His father was in WW1 and four of his brothers were in WW2. Donald served in the Korean War.
Donald joined the RAAF in 1948 when he was 16 years old as the first intake of apprentices at Wagga, NSW.
Later, when war was declared with Korea, Donald joined the 77 fighter squadron based in Japan and which squadron then left Japan to go to South Korea. Donald served time in South Korea as ground crew. The Korean War is now known as The Forgotten War.
Donald passed away suddenly in Geelong, Victoria on the 27th September, 2019 at 87 years old. He is buried at the East Geelong cemetery. His official memorial is at the War Memorial at the Springvale War Cemetery, Melbourne, Vic.
Donald is the beloved husband of Janice and father of two loving sons and he is loved by their respective families.
