Enlisted March 19, 1946, Liverpool, Sydney - Embarked Sydney per HMAS "Kanimbla" October 15th 1946. Disembarked Kure, Japan, October 31, 1946 Kure, Japan.
Accidently killed December 23rd, 1947 at Kanda Railway Station, Japan. Struck by a train when he jumped onto the railway tracks for the purpose of retrieving his hat. He was struck by the train and crushed between it and the platform - aged 20 years.
Buried: British Commonwealth War Cemetery, Yokohama, Japan.
