Private Jack Gladstone Wright (Service No:V36365) enlisted in the ACMF on 19 August 1940 and was Discharged as Medically Unfit.
Jack was born in Geelong, Victoria in 1917, son of Ernest Everard Wright (b1886 in Queenscliff, Victoria) and Irini Isling (b1892 in Rochester, Victoria). Ernest (a Clerk) and Irini (a Milliner) married in 1915 in Geelong, Victoria where they settled and raised their family and Ernest worked as a Clerk and Manager.
Jack worked as a Clerk in Geelong and in 1941 married Myee Cecelia Herd (b1914 in Geelong, Victoria) - Myee was a Typist in Geelong. Jack and Myee lived in Geelong where they raised their family and Jack worked as a Clerk before moving to Lorne in the early 1950s where Jack was a Newsagent. In the 1960s Jack and Myee moved to Brighton where Jack was a Newsagent and Postmaster. Following Myee's death in 1978, Jack remarried to Doris Finlayson (b1918) - Doris worked in Melbourne as a Clerk. Jack died in 1994 and Doris in 2016.
