Francis Stanley Morriss (Service No:V215766) served briefly in the ACMF in 1942 - Discharged as Medically Unfit.
Eleventh of thirteen children, Frank was born in Melbourne, Victoria in 1908 to William (Bill) Alexander Morriss (b1863 in Queenstown, Victoria) and Emily Isabel Charles (b1867 in Lancashire, England) - Emily immigrated with her parents and siblings in the mid 1860s. Bill (a Railways Employee) and Emily married in 1886 in Melbourne, and lived there and in Dimboola and Locksley, where they raised their family and Bill worked for the Railways. Bill and Emily settled in Frankston in the mid 1920s.
Frank worked in Frankston as a Labourer, and in 1938 married Winifred (Wyn) Mavis Brown (b1915 in Balalrat, Victoria). Frank and Wyn settled in Frankston, where they raised their family and Frank worked as a Life Assurance Salesman, Garage Worker and Hotel Barman. Frank died in 1972 and Wyn in 1976.
