Son of Albert and Emma BANKS, Hackney, London.
Husband of Mabel L BANKS, 144 Moore Street, Leichardt, NSW
Albert served in Egypt, Sinai Tel-el-Keber, France and Belgium and was wounded near Le Transloy and invalided to Birimingham Hospital England. He returned to Australia in October 1917.
Two older brothers also enlisted, on with the Canadian Forces and the other with the British.
