The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 186 to 189 + 199 + 269. Prior to the war he was a sleeper cutter of Castlemaine Vic. He enlisted 15th July 1915 aged 22 years. He served with the 1st Infantry Battalion, and earned a Military Medal for his activities. He survived the war, departed the UK for home 21st Dec 1918.
