No burial possible
The above names NCG left outpost line in Merris Sector on night 30 June 1918 to obtain identifications from Enemy dead and failed to return. His body was subsequently found by a patrol at approximately Sh 36a E.6.d.86. No burial was then possible and the body could not be removed. Our line has since been advanced in this sector and it is thought that the body has probably been buried by relieving Units.
