Fifth son of Charles James and Elizabeth IRISH
Husband of Mrs. Alice Mary Irish, Grand View, Kangaroo Grounds, Victoria
IRISH. — In memory of Trooper Victor C. Irish, 2nd Light Horse (late of Ivanhoe), who was killed in action in Palestine on 14th July, 1918.
Just his mother's son.
Faintly the breath of the spring wind blows
Though laden with faint perfume.
'Tis the fragrance rare that our soldier loved
The scent of the wattle bloom.
— Inserted by his loving sister and brother-in-law R. and B. Gilding, Alphington.
