17 Nov 1917: Honoured Military Medal, Broodseinde Ridge, During the operations east of YPRES on 4th. October 1917, he was employed on the construction C.R.E., of a strong point. Seeing a comrade who had fallen wounded he went out in the face of deadly machine gun, sniping and shell fire. Throughout the operation he displayed the same devotion to duty, and utter contempt for personal danger when necessary.

Born in November 1893, Moonta SA, a machinist named Robert Lee Rogers, a 21 year old, 5 feet 9 inches, weighting 146lbs, blue eyes, brown hair, served in the Australian Imperal Force from August 12 1915 until the 4th of October 1917 when he performed the actions which won him the Military Medal. He went out to save a man that who had fallen wounded and brought him back. Robert Lee Rogers received a Military Medal award for bravery.
