Son of D. O'Donnell of  Koo Wee Rup, Victoria

Commencede return to Australia on 26 September 1917 aboard HT Borda disembarking on 21 November 1917

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal

Post war he was  a solier settler and allotted Allotment 3, Mannibadar: O’DONNELL, Joseph Daniel, 25 years old on enlistment, son of D. O’Donnell of Koo-wee-rup.  Settled at Willowvale, just across the road from the dam.  The land was later transferred to George Caldow. In 1934, in correspondence with the War Dept. he was living in Adelaide.
