Jacqueline Noel Young was born in 1926 in Bendigo, the daughter of Norman McLaren Young and Ada Dorothy Cambridge.
On 25th January, 1943, Jacqueline Noel Young enlisted at 3 Australian AWAS Reception Depot. She was accepted for service and posted to AWAS as a Driver. She was Discharged on 2nd April, 1947.
Jacqueline was the 3rd member of the Young family to volunteer for service. Her father, Norman McLaren Young, enlisted in the AIF in 1942 and was posted to HQ NT Force with the rank of Major. Her older sister, Audrey June Young, enlisted in the AWAS in 1943 and was serving as a Signalwoman.
