ISOBEL was born on 31st July 1924 in Warrnambool, Victoria.
She was living in Warrnambool, Victoria when she enlisted in the Australian Women's Army Service in Melbourne on the 26th of January 1943. She was eager to enlist as her older brother was already serving in the Army.
After completing initial training, Isobel was posted to the Land Headquarters (LHQ) of the Army at the Office of the Military Secretary. She was graded as a Group II Typist and a Group II Clerk and where she spent the majority of her service. She completed 1304 days of active service in Australia before being discharged on the 21st of August 1946.
In 2026 Isobel is still living in Warrnambool, Victoria.
