Son of Alfred David and Margaret Mary Bradford, of 1 I, William St., Footscray, Victoria.

CPL. A. NORMAN BRADFORD.
Corporal Alfred Norman Bradford, aged 21 years, eldest, son of Mr and Mrs A. D. Bradford, 11 William street Footscray, is reported killed in action. He enlisted on July 31, 1915, sailed October 27th, 1915, and landed in France March 26th, where he received his first stripes. He was employed at T. Robinson and Co.'s, Spotswood and was corporal in local Citizens' Forces before enlisting. He was a fine athlete, played football with Yarraville and South Melbourne, also Yarraville Cricket Club, and was very popular with all who knew  him. Educated at schools 1912 and 258. He was killed on August 4th, while in charge of a section of bomb throwers in his battalion.
