HAVE MERCY UPON HIM LORD AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HIM
KILLED IN ACTION.
PRIVATE JOHN OLIVER BROWN.
Word was conveyed to Mr. and Mrs. T. Brown, of 20 Booth street, Golden Square, by the Rev. F. A. W. Kilbey that their son, Private John Oliver Brown, was killed in action on February 10 last. He was the eldest son of the family, and the second son is now at the front. Private Brown was highly respected by those who knew him. For seven years prior to enlisting he was working at the Bendigo brickworks.
