Sergeant Reginald David Looker (Service No:300330) served in the RAAF from 17 February 1937 to 26 October 1940 - mustered as Airman Pilot and attached to Air Force HQ at Discharge.

Reg was born in Hamilton, Victoria in 1910, second of seven children of David Looker (b1881 in Condah, Victoria) and Sarah Helena Wensley (b1884 in Balmoral, Victoria). David was a Boardinghouse Keeper and Coffee Palace Proprietor in 1907 when he and Sarah married in Hamilton. The family lived at Strathkeller via Hamilton and in Hamilton, where David worked as a Labourer.

Reg started work in Hamilton as a Carter and in 1937 was an Electrician with Hamiton Electric Supply Coy when he enlisted in the RAAF Reserves. In 1941 Reg married Flora Jessie McPherson (b1915 in Melbourne, Victoria) - Flora was working as a Milliner at Kangaroo Ground in Deakin. The couple settled in Melbourne - Reg worked as a Mechanic and Flora as a Milliner. In 1976 Reg was killed in a plane crash in the Owen Ranges in Paua New Guinea - son David (a Policeman) was also killed in the crash. Flora died in 2021.
