Daughter of Athol John BENNETT, 34 Charles Street, South Perth, WA

Married to Flight Sergeant John Edmund FRYER 29746 who was killed in action 01 August 1943

Zoie was a widow and was the Works Director at Allied Works Council when she enlisted.  Her occupations listed as Architect Grade II, War Service Homes Division Victoria.

Her duties on employment were Preparation of working drawings, estimates & specificatins.  She was incharge of works during construction, including calling tenders, inspections of works, issuing payment certificates, extras and deductions to contract and general work in connection with the works. 

Sporting interests included Tennis, Swimming and Golf.

Remarks by her senior officers - This Officer is pioneering the duties alloted to her had displayed energy, enthusiasm and initiative.  The general reaction to ther work at all units she has visited has been - It is a pity she couldn't stay longer.  S/O Fryer has done an outstanding job while at this Headquarters.  She has a clear picture of her dutied and plan of action in mind, and together with her unusual energy and enthusiasm for the job, her good organising ability and suitable manner, her efforts are most productive.  It is considered the assessment in Part I para 9 should be 'completely dependable for the performance of all ordinary duties.'
