Biography contributed by Vicki Hansen

Gordon Percy Lillingston, son of Percy Cuthbert and Cora Beatrice Lucy (nee Laird) and born in Ballarat East on 21 June 1908. He married Florence Rendle Cardwell in 1940 and they had at least one child, Kay Florence Lillingston in 1950. He was a grocer but in his enlistment file it states his special qualifications were as a fire figher. So perhaps he became a Grocer after the war and was a fireman before. He died on 3 July 1984 in Fairfield Victoria.
