Late Mr. Arthur Brown
Born in Albany 6O years ago, a well known and respected resident of the Kronkup district in Mr. Arthur Brown passed away at the Albany District Hospital on August 22. The late Mr. Brown had a very long association with the country areas around Albany. After working on the railways in his younger days, Mr. Brown took up a farming property at Kronkup a year or so before World War 1. Answering the call to arms the deceased served four years in the A.I.F. in the 1914-18 conflict, taking part in operations in Egypt and France. It was war injuries that hastened his death. After 1918 the late Mr. Brown followed farming pursuits at Kronkup right up until a day or so before his passing. He enjoyed the esteem and respect of a very large circle of friends in country areas and the town of Albany. He is survived by his widow, daughter (Mrs. D. Osborne), son Ron, and two grandchildren.
