Father James TRESCOWTHICK (b. ___ - d. 4/9/1894 Angaston SA - 69 years) and
Mother Ellen (nee PARKYN), b. ____ - d. 17/4/1894 Angaston SA - 59 years). 
m. 7/8/1852 at Holy Trinity Church, Adelaide, South Australia. 
     Ellen's maiden name was recorded as PERKYN in the marriage index.
     Her correct maiden name was PARKYN as recorded above. 

18/9/1922 both parents were deceased.

Thirteen children located South Australian records for James and Ellen.

Charles was the 10th child to James and Ellen.

He last lived with his sister Mrs Sussanah Plumstead, Osmond Terrace, Norwood, SA,
18/9/1922 Sussanah had moved to Naracoorte.

On enlisting Charles noted his eldest brother, Edwin, as next-of-kin, Angaston, SA.

1/11/1915     Commanding Officer appointed Charles to C Company, 2nd Depot
                     Exhibition AIF Camp

7/2/1916       Embarked from Outer Harbour, Port Adelaide on board HMAT A28 Miltiades
                    as a Private in 27th Infantry Battalion, 9th reinforcements

2/4/1916       transferred as a Private in 50th Battalion, from 7th Training Battalion
                    ex Helipolis

5/6/1916       proceeded overseas to France, with British Expeditionary Forces
                     on board Arcadian, ex Alexandria
12/6/1916      disembarked into Marseilles, France

1/7/1916       admitted with Influenza, Division Rest Station, in the field
                     transferred to No.1 Casualty Clearing Station

8/7/1916       admitted to 7th General Hospital, St Omer, France
                    with Cerebro Spinal Meningitis, received in service
