Daugher of William FRASER, 16 Upper Avenue Road, Mosman, NSW

Gwendoline was employed at Granziers Association, Harwood House, 5 O'Connell Street, Sydney from January 1940 to July 1942 and was held in very high esteem by the Company.

She had previously been employed at the General Assurance Company Limited, Sydney for 3 years and was described as having excellent character and reputation.

In her application to the RAAF she wrote - Attended Metropolitan Business College Sydney, 1936 for instruction in Shorthand, typing and bookkeeping.  Obtained 4th position in the State in Isaac Pitman Shorthand Examination.  For 3 years prior to enrolment in the WAAAF took active interest in ARP - Hospital work and First Aid, being one of original members of Mosman (Sydney First Aid Post).  Was in charge of the post, which was manned by first aiders and St. John's Ambulance, when rostered for duty - assisted the supervision of the shift with organisation of rosters etc.

It was noted on her file - This airwoman is capbable of accepting responsibilites, and maintaing a good discipline, and is very keeen and alert in the performance of duties allocated to her.  She has had a good general education to matriculation standard and business experience in large offices.  She appears to posess good commond sense and is very reliable and dependable.  It is considered she would be equally efficient and capable in either Cypher or general administrative duties.
