Stewardess Olive Raymond Evans (Service No:WR/1089) served in the WRANS with HMAS Cerberus from 28 April 1943 to 3 October 1944.
Pat was born at Port Melbourne, Victoria in 1917, fourth of five children of George Hartley (b1887 in Homebush, Victoria) and Mary Booth Nash (b1883 in Rutherglen, Victoria). George (a Fireman with the Railways) and Mary married in 1912 in Melbourne, Victoria where they settled and raised their family and George was a Railways Employee.
Pat married Charles John Jordan (b1912 in Broken Hill, NSW) in 1940 in Melbourne - Charles, a Labourer, served in the AIF (Sergeant; Service No:VX6010) and Died of Wounds in Libya in 1941. Following Charles' death, Pat remarried in 1944 in Melbourne to William (Bert) Albert Evans (b1916 in Williamstown, Victoria) - Bert was serving in the AIF (Lance Corporal; Service No:VX60450). Following Discharge, Pat and Bert settled in Melbourne - Pat worked as a Salewoman in the late 1940s and Bert worked as an Evaporator, Packer and Labourer. In the mid 1970s Pat and Bert moved to Stratford, Gippsland, where they were Primary Producers. Bert died in 1994 and Pat in 2012.
