The Minmi Roll of Honour has 79 names inscribed of those who returned home from The Great War.
The 22nd name inscribed is Private George Pritchard.
On the 23rd June 1962, Private George Pritchard, 35th Battalion (Reg No-1218), wheeler from Cornish Row, Minmi, New South Wales, died at Minmi age 66 years 5 months, ashes interred Newcastle Memorial Park, N.S.W., date unknown. Loggia 2 D/27.
Born at Minmi, New South Wales on the 6th January 1896 to Griffith, died 30.9.1926, Wallsend Hospital, N.S.W., age 71, buried at Minmi Cemetery, Right Hand Side, Section 17, Plot 023, from Maitland Road, Minmi, New South Wales (1917) and Wallsend Road, Minmi, N.S.W., and Louisa Mathilda (Matilda) Pritchard nee Perry, died 24.3.1908, Minmi, N.S.W., age 40, mother of 4 sons, sleeping at Minmi Cemetery, Right Hand Side, Section 17, Plot 023; husband of Ivy Pearl Pritchard nee Sneddon, married 1923, West Wallsend, N.S.W., died 12.7.1977, age 82.
George enlisted on the 31st December 1915, age 19 years 11 months, at Newcastle, N.S.W.
Unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A24 Benalla on the 1st May 1916.
Disembarked Plymouth, England 9.7.1916.
Proceeded O/Seas to France from Southampton, England 21.11.1916.
Admitted to hospital 18.8.1917 (trench fever, slight).
Wounded in action - 1.4.1918 (GSW right arm).
Invalided to England 4.4.1918.
Granted leave to Paris from 28.3.1919 to 7.4.1919.
Commenced return to Australia 11.5.1919.
George arrived home on the 28th June 1919, being discharged on the 12th August 1919.
Mr. Pritchard’s name has also been inscribed on the Minmi St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Roll of Honour.

Older brother Thomas Griffith Pritchard, born 16.9.1887, Minmi, New South Wales, married sanitary carter from Victoria Street, Kurri Kurri, New South Wales, enlisted 18.10.1917, Driver, Australian Army Service Corps, age 30 years 1 month, Kurri Kurri, N.S.W., Reg No-16055, unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board SS Port Darwin on the 30th April 1918, RTA 7.9.1919, 1st Australian Divisional Train, Australian Army Service Corps, did not serve in a theatre of war, therefore was not granted Victory Medal, died 8.9.1960, age 72, buried Minmi Cemetery 10.9.1960, Left Hand Side, Section 12, Plot 046, officially commemorated - https://connect.dva.gov.au/.../viewCommemoration.html....
