It will not be long before we meet again." A  verdict of suicide was returned.

A MOVIE DEAL
FRAUD ALLEGED
SUICIDE MENTIONED
Roy Darling, 32, picture producer, was charged at the Central Court to-day with having conspired to defraud Edward Barry Kidd of large sums of money.
Stephen Harold Perry had been charged with Darling, but it was stated that he had committed suicide three days after his arrest. Kidd gave evidence that Darling introduced him to Perry, who was said to be managing director of the 'Australian Film Association, Ltd.' Darling suggested the purchase of 40 Australian films for £800, and Perry offered to find  £400. Darling said he could raise only £310, and persuaded Kidd to find the other £90. Witness supplied money for furniture and advanced certain sums to Darling. Later, however, he became suspicious and Darling admitted that the £800 deal had not materialised. Accused also admitted that he had used the £90 Kidd gave him in connection with hare racing in Brisbane. The further hearing was adjourned for a week.
